I have started using MN to annotate academic papers and create mindmaps from several sources BUT I also read print books. How can I get quotes from my print books into MN? Any ideas, please?
You might try Readwise (https://readwise.io/). It’s a service that collects highlights and notes for you and makes them available. It is oriented toward e-books, but it’s relevant in your case because the mobile version will let you take a photo of a printed page. The app will perform OCR on it, and file it with relevant bibliographic info pulled from the web. The OCR is quite good, in my experience.
You can then copy-paste those excerpts into MN or export them from Readwise into a doc and put the doc into MN.
Perhaps that’s too elaborate but it is do-able.
