Any workflow tips for engineering students?

Hey everyone!
I’m new to the app and loving it so far. I prefer it far more than LiquidText since it forces me to stay structured and organized while LiquidText is more “fluid” and unorganized.
Since I’m new, I would love some tips from people in engineering or/and mathematics (I’m a computer engineering student) that use MN for their lectures. I’ve got some courses that are mostly done using slides, and I’m curious how other people approached these kind of courses. So far I’ve tried actually writing down everything which didn’t really work for me since it’s hard to keep up, and that’s why I was looking for a pdf annotation app to fill in this void of inadequacy.

On a side note, since I’m inexperienced with MN, is there an equivalent here to LiquidText’s highlight view? (viewing multiple places in a pdf at once and linking between them)
