In 2019 it was posted that Auto-Backup is coming sometimes in Version 3.5:

Need a back up option (iCloud is just for syncing )

Hello I will like the option to also take a back-up of my work. As we know, iCloud is just for syncing and nothing else. Apps like Notability have a back-up feature alongside iCloud syncing. Kind regards, Jerome

Now it is almost 2022, 3 years since it’s been requested, and still no auto-backup?
