Can search function in Import be fixed?

To load a document, I go to “Import” -> “Add Documents from Files”->“Dropbox”.
Now I can manually search Dropbox or use the search bar. However the search cannot “see” any files in Dropbox other than those imported already. That make it practically useless for me. Can it be fixed so that it can search Dropbox or at least its current directory at least?
