Cannot import backup file on iPadOS. A bug?

I created a mindmap and would like to export the backup file of the whole mindmap and share it with my friends. However, it seems that I can’t open .marginpkg files in MarginNote. There isn’t any open in MarginNote option. I’m currently using iPadOS 13.1.3.
Please help!

Thank you very much for the awesome app!

I have the same problem. After a reset I need to restore my notes, but can’t open .marginpkg files.

I have the same problem, I had to move to a new iPad. Now I can’t import my backed up files.

Why is that?

I need this fixed quick.!!!

Hello, please rename this backup file to .zip, then unzip. If you can’t open it, it’s damaged.

Hi, I had this problem as well due, but it was due to my inexperience with the IPad interface.

For anyone else having this problem:

  1. long press on the .marginpkg file in your Files app
  2. click Share
  3. select marginnote from the scrollable row of icons.

The open in MarginNote option is misleading, this is the way that is more clear in my opinion.
