In the above image there is a bracketed (8) next to the current page number. That is because I deleted a page before and the system remembers the old number. If I want that it is fine. But here I deleted the page because I wanted to forget it. Please introduce a setting where one can deactivate this behavior.
Maybe even allow us to toggle on custom page numbers. Since many documents have no hyperlinks and are annoyingly numbered not according to the actual pages in the PDF e.g.
