Dark UI (no inversion)>

I have some PDFs that are image intense, some with dark backgrounds and light text. That means the document itself is already in “dark” mode. However, the only way I can view these is to have MN3 set to “white”. If I turn on my device’s “dark mode” MN3’s menus turn dark (this is good), but the PDF documents gets inverted and becomes bright white (this is bad).

Is there a way to make the UI and menus dark but not invert the document?

Hello

sorry, this is not support.

Select dark mode and enable toggle below “select color correction of pictures in dark mode”

Doesn’t work. Whole page is still white. I imagine it works only with smaller images, mostly color images, not when the entire background is already dark.

Right now, it’s almost impossible to work in the evening or at night without using the light mode, which is really harsh on the eyes. A proper solution for this would make a huge difference.

Dear User,

Thank you for your feedback. To ensure we fully understand your request, could you clarify:

  1. Are you asking to change the UI theme color (e.g., sidebar, toolbar) without altering the original document/text colors?
  2. If so, could you share a screenshot of your study set interface? This will help us identify which UI elements need adjustment (e.g., highlighters, background, icons).

Thank you for listening to us! I will answer the questions:

  1. Yes, I think that the Dark UI option needs a switch (like the “select color correction of pictures in dark mode”) in order to keep the original appearance of the PDFs without any alterations.
  2. I don’t think any changes are needed to the dark mode UI, which is perfect. I would just like a button to disable the filters applied to PDFs (this also applies to the mind map, where the PDF isn’t altered, but I notice a decrease in brightness).
