I have the impression, that in the older versions of MarginNote, the functionality to highlight and work on epub files was good. Now I always have problems. Does MarginNote 4 handle epub files?
It does import on the fly but seems like you can’t treat it like pdf like drawing something on it etc.
I recommend you convert epub to pdf then import it for maximum flexibility with the document.
Thanks for the info
@Meng
I don’t see any significant differences with ePub handling in 4 compared to 3. What kind of problems are you seeing and I can check.
ETA: Yikes, I take that back - in MarginNote 3 I used to be able to export my excerpts from ePub highlights in Document mode. I am NOT able to do this in MarginNote 4, and although StudySet mode seems to offer export capabilities none of them seem to work! All I get in Evernote, Word, PDF, etc is the title of the StudySet and none of the highlights/excerpts/cards. And I cannot rearrange their order in StudySet mode as I could in MN3.
Bug! Or has this been purposefully stripped out??Hoping the support team will comment as this was an important feature! I have also posted a message about this in the Support forum.
