A standalone emphasise button is needed in the flash card area.
Please note that when I use the emphasise mode button with excerpted text in the the study area then make it a flash card, this operation thinks I am trying to apply a cloze to the text in a flash card. Therefore the flash card itself needs an emphasise mode button.

I have a general idea about your requests. But why don’t you use annotating tools to highlight the words you want to emphasize?
I did this and it doesn’t work.

I forgot to tell you that the annotations can only show up in selection extracted by rectangle excerpting tool. But I’m sorry that there is still no good solutions for the text selection.
