Why not change the color of highlighting settings?
I just read my post and realised what I wrote is not very precise.
Let us say 1) that I use green as my highlighter color 2) text is white 3) background is black.
When highlighting, the text will be green and the background will be green/black. This is what I mean.
The best thing will be to bring the highlighter between the background and the text!

Iām also wishing for highlight behind the text. Makes it much more readable. Notability updated this feature recently, really made a great difference.
