I would like to request a built-in AI feature to convert images within notebooks into editable text and code.
The Feature:
Allow users to click an image (e.g., a photo of a textbook or slide) and have an AI perform OCR to generate:
- Plain text for regular sentences.
- LaTeX/Markdown code for mathematical and scientific formulas (e.g., $\int_a^b f(x) , dx$).
Core Benefits: - Searchable: Makes all content within images fully searchable.
- Editable: Allows for easy copying, pasting, and modifying text and formulas.
- Export-Friendly: Streamlines the process of using recognized formulas in research papers and other documents.
This functionality, similar to what modern AI assistants can do, would be an incredibly powerful and efficient addition to MarginNote, especially for those in STEM fields.
