How can I detach a child from its parent element in MindMap mode?

I have same question. So far, 3 work around.

  1. Drag to a different parent
  2. You can make a dummy parent, drag to the dummy parent, then delete the dummy parent
  3. Drag the child off the area until it says FLOAT

Hello, you can drag the node that you want to stray, and an area called float will appear at the top, dragging the node to this area will make the node leave the parent-child structure.
