How does collaboration mode work?

I just shared a link for a collaborator, (through the Mac App)
however when the link is visited they get this,

Ahh I assume they need marginnote installed…

Hi,

I just tried sharing a notebook to collaborate with 1 other person and I am having this same error popup. I have attached the info contained when you click on the “details” button found on that image posted above. Any support on this?
