I’m trying to export flashcards from MarginNote 4 in a way that makes them completely independent from the app.
The main issue is that any content using the “link” function doesn’t get converted into text or images—it just gets ignored in the flashcards.
In Review Mode I can use the link to the mind map, but in Anki (especially when used without MarginNote, like on Android), the link can’t be used, making the content completely inaccessible.
I’ve looked everywhere but can’t figure out how to fix this. Does anyone know if there’s a way to make sure everything is properly included as text or images?
Don’t worry, @Adeline understood the problem and they’re working on a fix (for now it’s better to avoid exporting to Anki if you want to keep the attributes of the linked blocks, or you need to manually review the exported material). Anyway, the images are in the discussion; I was asked to provide screenshots of both Anki and MarginNote – you can find everything there.
To answer simply: I’m talking about the “link function” of MarginNote, which allows you to connect multiple blocks with arrows. This function, when used in MarginNote’s review mode, allows you to link multiple questions to a single block. However, all proprieties of a linked block are lost when exporting to Anki (there are some examples in the post with the images)
