How to add a new features (table of content) to an existing PDF without losing all the notes in MM3 ? Thanks in advance

It is possible to add TOC to books. However, MarginNote does not currently support it directly, meaning that you will have to use other apps to add TOC to the PDF.
To do this, first, you will need to have an APP that supports adding TOC to the document. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, PDF Experts are possible options.
First of all, you will need to locate the book on your device. To do this, you go to the "Documents" folder and you will be able to find a "MarginNote" folder in it. The files should be inside it.
If you use iCloud, you can go to the iCloud Drive folder and locate the MarginNote 3 folder, your file should be inside it.
Now, you can add TOC to the PDF files in that folder using the software of your choice.
After this, you have to go back to MarginNote and relink the file to your notebook. It is advised that you move the file out of the original folder and move it back in. Because you have modified the file, you need to relink it to the document. To do this, you need to click the "Manage" button in the top right corner, then you will click to link the PDF file. After that, your new PDF with TOCs are set.
