Layout in portrait mode not optimal

I updated to version 4.1.16 today.

There is the following non-optimal layout on my iPad (11", portrait mode):
When opening one of the panels on the right, the toolbar moves down, even though there is enough space left. See screenshot.
This reduces the space available for the document itself.
