Margin Note 3 on Macbook Pro > has less features than Margin Note Pro 2

So, Margin Note 2 Pro > seems to have more features (using Macbook Pro) then Margin Note 3. I have been struggling with Margon Note 3, only to open Margin Note 2 Pro (back up) to find all the features exist within this version. Can anybody assist?

Specifically, in margin note 3, I cant edit the PDF notebook (in document mode). Pls help.
