MarginNote 4 and Obsidian

Hey everyone!

Does anyone use MarginNote 4 and Obsidian in their workflow? I can’t find a good way to incoporate the two right now. I’m using Obsidian as my second brain so this is an important feature for me.

Is anyone working on or interested in working on a plugin to import MarginNote 4 notes in to Obsidian?

“Hello, the current plugin network is not as extensive as you might think, but efforts are being made to expand it. If you can explain your request more clearly, I will look into whether there is an effective solution for you.”

A relatively simple first step would be to export the map mind in marckdown format.

Hello, you can try this plugin, which is published on the Chinese forum. If you have difficulty reading it, I will try to translate these articles in the near future.

For the past (nearly) five years I’ve used Obsidian, DevonThink and to some extent, MarginNote in my academic workflow. Obsidian and DevonThink at the centre of my workflow so how I use MarginNote may differ from how others do. I use MarginNote to quickly parse a document that I need to read (i.e. I cannot rely on someone else summarising the information or the use of an LLM to do so).

I usually copy my excerpts by hand into Obsidian where I paraphrase and add my own thoughts on topic-relevant notes.

I have used various export methods but they all come up short and do nothing to improve my workflow. My working with individual articles in MN and doing my synthesis in Obsidian has worked for me for years.
