I was frustrated every time I try to sync my MarginNote 4 study sets with my Apple devices.
So I decided to delete the app and reinstall it on my Mac, iPads and iPhone.
I turned off iCloud at settings first, then I deleted the app.
I found the MarginNote 4 folder disappeared on the folder app on iCloud.
After I reinstalled the app on iPad first, then I tried to make a study set with several docs.
Then I reinstalled it on Mac, iPad mini and iPhone.
However, I found all the PDFs weren’t synced with other devices of Apple devices. The study set and the cards, handwritings are only synced now I cannot find the PDFs on other devices. I found the PDFs weren’t synced then I tried to import PDF files to iCloud folder but it doesn’t work.
I realised the MarginNote 4 folder was still gone on my iCloud even though I reinstalled the app. How can I solve this problem? Please help me out.
Regards,
Chacy
P.S : ‘Import to iCloud Folder by default’ is on, ‘Sync Documents while Sync StudySets’ is on on my data settings on MN4 on all my Apple devices. And I am a Max user.
Hello! After importing multiple PDF documents, it may take some time for the documents to be synchronized. Please ensure that you have a stable internet connection and be patient for a while.
Thank you for your understanding and support! If you have any further questions, feel free to let us know.
I found out that I accidentally deleted the iCloud MarginNote 4 before deleting the app in order to reinstall it.
Even though I downloaded the app and reinstalled it, the iCloud MarginNote 4 folder doesn’t appear anymore. I have waited longer than 24hours but the iCloud folder doesn’t show up.
Is there any way that I can have the iCloud MarginNote 4 folder again?
I cannot sync all my Apple devices without the iCloud folder for PDFs on study sets.
Hello, if you have directly deleted data from iCloud, you can only retrieve it from the iCloud Recycle Bin. You can urgently back up your study sets on other devices to avoid further file loss. Directly modifying the MarginNote folder in iCloud can lead to unpredictable file damage, so it’s not recommended to change files in this way. In MarginNote4 settings, you can manually clear the cache and the recycle bin.
