at the moment the mind map view automatically centers the map at the highlighted noted.
In effect, when I browse the branches a map is moving/floating all the time, which is very annoying.
Would it be possible to set the option to turn this centering OFF? Or center only in case the node position is really far from center? I’m just migrating from MindManager, where this behavior in perfect to me.

Yes, it’s indeed annoying when you make some highlighted notes, the mindmap view automatically centers at the highlighted note.
I’m sorry that there is no way to turn off the centering, but I’d like to recommend you a good method to achieve the effect you expected.
Very easy! Just use the “hand tool”！
1.use “hand tool” to select characters or words.
2.drag the selected text into mindmap, and you will see a green plus sign”+” in the upper right corner of the selection.
3.then you can add the selected text into mind map.
