Hi,
I have never used the export to Evernote function, but tried it today. A small window opens with “Account” at the top and “Sign in Evernote” below, but when I click on this I never get the expected login interface. It does trigger Evernote Mac to open, but nothing is imported. Overall my impression is that MarginNote 4 cannot actually connect to Evernote because it isn’t opening an integration properly, but perhaps I am doing something wrong.
NOW WORKING AGAIN
Quick follow-up to say that something must have been fixed in an update, as now export to Evernote is working fine. Thank goodness, as I am a heavy longtime user of Evernote and it serves as my external brain.
One issue I’ve noticed, though. I use dark mode on all my devices and my hand-written annotations (done in dark colors) are not visible in Evernote when using Dark Mode. I can switch to light mode when I want to review these notes, but it would be great if it automagically worked and I didn’t have to do this!
I thought I’d post again to note that export to Evernote is broken again.
Now the behavior is back to doing what I reported back in October 2024 - a small “Sign in Evernote” window opens and it triggers Evernote to open, but I am never presented with a log-in screen and there is just an endlessly spinning progress indicator. No matter how long I live it I am not able to sign in to Evernote, nor is anything exported to Evernote.
This is an important integration for me. I’d really really love to get this working again!
Hello. I have successfully made a try on the iPad. Did you try importing on the Mac? If so, has it always failed to succeed? I may need to record a screen video to better understand your problem.
@Adeline
Thanks for your response. Yes, I neglected to specify that this problem is on my Mac. I was able to export to Evernote from iPad, but I mostly want to do this when finalizing my projects from my laptop so that is where I’d like to send it from. It worked there for a while and now the same problem is back again. Good to know I can do it from the iPad, if necessary, though.
When I tried to import the file, the infinite loop symbol popped up once. Later, I tried to synchronize a small amount of data, and it synchronized very quickly.
