The current note editing system is unnecessarily feature rich and simultaneously anemic.
Rather than use the built in text editor, I propose adopting the Markdown Extension as the native editing option.
The ability to change fonts, highlight text within notes different colors, change font sizes in notes, etc. are very fringe. On the flip side of that, the ability to use MultiMarkdown to make tables, highlight, bold, change fonts quickly via has tags, etc. is elegant.
Again, the extension already exists and works well but the additional steps required to activate Markdown in a note are silly!
