Outline View – Cannot Merge Cards or Print Outline Content [MN4 Full]

Hi

I mainly work in Outline View, but key functions now seem missing or unclear. I’m using the full version of MN4.

I need help with three things:

1. Merging cards in Outline View

. I select two notes

. No merge option appears

. Right-click and toolbar show nothing

Question: Is merging notes in Outline View still supported? Where is the merge control now?

2. Combining excerpts into structured notes

My workflow is:

PDF - Extract highlights - Outline notes

But I can’t easily combine notes into one structured section anymore.

Question: What is the correct workflow now to combine multiple excerpts into one outline note?

3. Printing / Exporting Outline content

Biggest issue.

I need to print or export Outline text/cards, not just the original PDF.

Current problems:

. Print only outputs the PDF

. Outline notes are not included

. No clear “Print Outline” option

Question: How can I export or print the full Outline structure with note text?

Outline View used to be the fastest study method. Now core tools feel hidden.

Please provide step-by-step instructions using the current icons/UI.

I still have the full version of MarginNote 3 installed, and I can confirm my workflow works there. However, I am not able to spend time recording demo workflows in MN3.

My issue is specifically with MarginNote 4, which is the version I am actively using.

Before using MN3 further for any comparison or testing, could you please confirm whether this involves any additional charges or subscription fees. I want to be sure there are no unexpected costs.

If any account verification is required, please let me know whether I should DM or email my details, and through which official channel, so I do not incur any unintended charges.
