Is there any excerpt on the pdf where this issue appears? Would you mind sending this pdf to us? While waiting, you can try to send this pdf to Xodo reader and save it as a new pdf document to see if there is an improvement. Xodo's reading engine is "pdftron", which uses relatively stable technology.
