Removing PDF from study notebook and keeping annotations

Hello,

I have a study notebook and a lot of PDF files. As I go through some PDFs, I’d like to remove them but keep them in the marginnote document folder. But when I remove them, my highlights, handwritten annotations, go away. How can I remove a PDF from my study notebook but keep the annotations?
