Hi guys, As you’ve heard from many users, we’ve welcomed MN’s new Search / Find feature, but it could use improvement.

One problem is that the color of the found text is the same as the yellow highlight, so it’s very hard to spot in the document. I’d suggest that MN change the color of the found text, and maybe highlight it with an animated flash (which other apps do nicely).

Also, it would be great if there could be a “Find next…” feature, so that one can toggle from one found search word to the next, etc.

It might be helpful to refer to the Find / Search setup used in Mac’s Preview app – it seems pretty simple, straightforward, and easy to use.

Last year, I posted the following question / request re: MN’s Search / Find function:

• Create some kind of Find / Replace function. Also, provide an option to change Smart/Straight quotes. These things are just to help us clean up the text – esp. when the OCR is poor (in MN or another app).

Has @marginnote made any changes to address this?

Also…I found that MN’s Search / Find function is inconsistent in the way that it locates data; sometimes it will find what I’m searching for in the Notes search but not in the Document search, and vice versa. This should probably be fixed.
