Does “as soon as possible” mean before the end of 2024?
Hello
Of course not that long, at the latest within three months

I have to ask if you plan to support iPhone SE 2nd generation because I will buy MN4 ASAP if so. I still prefer the form factor and usability of iPhone SE 2 over rest of the Apple devices that I own. For travelling it is just pitch perfect and I also installed all music studio apps for daily music work too, been using it for the past 2 years now. I also use Arch Linux on my Raspberry Pi 4 with touchscreen and Emacs and Csound, kept in my chest bag during flights, super convenient. Just making a point.
Edit: I also have 3 GPD Micros for my different works, which I employ on a case by case basis. Since MN does not work in Linux, I am thinking how to get it to work via VMWare.
MN3 also works on my iPod touch last gen. This is super convenient. If MN4 does not support these devices in future, it’s me going back to Emacs org mode, Xmind, Zotero/Mendeley and MN3 as final options.
I hope it is released soon. The convenience of portability of having it in an iPhone makes it one of the best app. Too bad it’s still not out yet.
Best wishes to the dev team.
Hello

Okay dev team, I am running MN4 on my SE2 and 7th gen Touch as well which is exactly what I wanted, especially for my EDC on daily trips to places other than work but for work. I am loving my stylus in tandem with MN4 features and its an unexpected upgrade since I sort of given up on MN3 upgrades for iPhones on older models. I carry a boatload of gear in my Tumi backpacks so this is Godsent, now I dont have to redo my setup (with added weight and cases etc) with heavier phones just for this and that. Flights are going to be very convenient too. My daily bicycling is going to remain unchallenged with my chest bag. Thanks Min!
What? MN4 in small screen iphone? I have Android so I wonder what it feels and looks like …
Feels awesome. With a stylus at all times even better. I am loaded up on all sorts of gear from heavy and light to big and micro. MN3 and 4 both do not have reflow, so that could be one con, however for the most part it does not detract from the note taking experience nonetheless, especially on the go in airport lounges, coworking desks, bedrooms and busy cafés. I also use the same iPhones for music production and is loaded up on everything from Korg Gadget, Beatmaker 2, Koala, Dawnbeat and AUM to Caustic, Electribe, Amplitube, iMPC2, BIAS, MIDI Guitar 2, Garageband and GB’s worth of samples and loops for making beats. There is no other phone especially on the Android platform that matches and supersedes the app ecosystem and snappiness of the iPhones which are veritable computers in their own right. I couple my iPhone music apps with the Apple camera connection kit with USB and lightning for unlimited music production routed through either my Zoom audio field recorders or any other sound interface I got like from BOSS and the unicorn Kemper (expensive! I know). All of that iPhone chicanery sound streams goes right into my Akai MPC 500 and Roland SP404 for further mangling and construction also in my backpacks (Tumi backpacks btw).
So getting back to note taking, yes it does work with iPhones exceptionally well. iCloud works too, its a bit confusing and I spent quite a bit of time trying to get it to work. For pdf reflow I use Pocketbooks and a couple other on iPhone.
I got Android too however I do not use it as much as my main device. I use the Bloc Ratio launcher and have an entirety different sélection of apps. I don’t use it for serious music work at all, the latency and app selection is just not upto spec even with some Android iOS doppelgängers such as Koala sampler. I do however use Android for mobile forensics, emacs on Android via termux, travel apps on dodgy wifi, larger screen for ebook reading IF I feel like and playthrough audiobooks for rest of the night to save my iPhone batteries. Its just different and not like an iPhone, duh. Also torrents wont work on iPhones but they do on Android. SDCards work on Android but not too easily with iPhone (via CCK it can via USB).
For most of my daily non phone works I use a supercharged Raspberry Pi running Manjaro decked up and riced to the T mostly running terminal softwares in Yakuake and Konsole. PDF annotations in emacs via pdf-tools /org-mode and a shitload of keyboard shortcuts flying all over the place. I can export all annotations in emacs done on pdfs to a pdf file exported (C-u M-x print-buffer-with-faces) and reuse or recombine with existing MN exports. Zotero and other reference managers work well with pdfs.
Portability combined with power is a huge selling point for many customers.
so yea….
