I purchased MarginNote 3 for iPad not too long ago, and when MarginNote 4 was released, I received the upgrade for free.
In a previous post,
I asked whether it was possible to use MarginNote on macOS in a “lightweight way” (essentially just as a secondary screen when mind maps become too big for the iPad).
I was told that there’s currently no “companion app”, only the full software version, which goes beyond what I really need.
After some more research, I discovered that the Max version includes access to the macOS app alongside the iPad version, as well as some other perks.
I’m genuinely tempted, I do need a Mac version, and I can’t wait indefinitely for a potential companion app. I also love this software and would be happy to support the project further, however, the price feels a bit discouraging, especially considering that I already own the Pro version (and I hardly think I am a “Pro” user) also the price of MN3 was similar to the new MN4 Max.
I think the price doesn’t consider the switch from Pro to Max and is probably thought for a Basic to Max upgrade (I’m guessing there aren’t many users who upgrade from Pro to Max), is there any discount available for existing Pro users who want to switch to Max? There is way in the App Store to do an upgrade from Pro to Max with an upgrade discount?
Thanks in advance
